Dewey is a young tripawd hailing from Mexico. Despite enduring a challenging start, he's a happy, well-behaved dog.
Dewey’s left hind leg was amputated due to a car accident, but he is adapting well. He loves to run and being a tripawd hasn’t slowed him down at all!
While Dewey isn't particularly food-driven, he enjoys engaging in mealtime activities like 'find it'. His favorite game? Hunting down his scattered kibble!
Inside the home, Dewey is a model citizen. He's fully house-trained, crate-trained, and exhibits no destructive tendencies. Although he may bark at outdoor noises, he welcomes visitors without a peep. Dewey's walking adventures are filled with curiosity, although he may bark in response to other dogs' barking or unfamiliar sounds.
Dewey thrives on companionship and affection. His mid-energy level makes him an ideal companion for various lifestyles.
Dewey has adjusted well to life on three legs, and continued walks and exercise are crucial to maintain muscle mass. His ideal family would provide gentle guidance, enrichment activities, and perhaps even agility training to boost his confidence.
