Chubby’s story begins on the streets of Mexico, where he spent the first five years of his life as a resilient street dog. Despite his tough start, he was always the friendly one in his pack, known for his warm heart and an endless appetite for food and affection. After a truck accident left him with injuries to his hip and ankle, Chubby underwent successful orthopedic surgery and adjusted to the comfort of a loving foster home. Now, he’s ready for his forever home where he can settle in, relax, and cuddle.
Chubby is sweet, silly, and easygoing. He’s the type who finds pure joy in cuddles, eating, and naps!
He loves his walks but doesn’t need long hikes due to his previous injuries. Chubby is a perfect low-maintenance companion for short strolls, and he’s a well-behaved walker, rarely pulling on his leash. He is not a fan of trucks and buses, but is learning not to pull away when they pass him.
Chubby likes other dogs but, as a former street dog, takes a cautious approach when meeting new friends. He’s not one for dog parks but does well with quieter, older dogs who respect his space.
Chubby is both house-trained and crate-trained. He’s perfectly content being left alone and will simply nap until you’re back. He’s not much into toys but adores affection.
