I've found my furever family!

Hi! My Name Is Bruno aka Hudson

We're happy to tell you that Bruno aka Hudson has a new furever home.
Please visit our Available Dogs Page to see the pups currently available.

Bruno is a sweet, 1 ½-year-old French bulldog. His owners surrendered him in July 2023 because he had some medical conditions which they could not get under control. He arrived at Paws Above Rescue with chronic diarrhea and anal prolapse. A specialist appointment was needed to properly diagnose Bruno. After an endoscopy and biopsy, he has been diagnosed with histiocytic ulcerative colitis which is an inflammatory bowel disease that affects the large intestine.

Currently in foster care, Bruno’s diet is carefully maintained to get his health under control and calm his intestines. Which can be challenging given how much he loves food! Bathroom breaks are monitored to make sure he isn’t straining and worsening his anal prolapse.

Fortunately, Bruno takes it all in stride. This happy-go-lucky guy gets along well with the other dogs in his foster home and is completely mad about playing with balls! He likes to always have 10 to 15 balls on the go.

Due to his medical issues, Bruno is a forever foster which means he is cared for in a foster home and Paws Above Rescue pays for all his medical needs.
